ARISEnet is a computer information system that offers a student-centered approach to implementing leading edge school programs. It emphasizes student accountability, responsibility and goal setting while providing for personalization of the school environment. We believe that students need (want) structure and want (need) choice.

Graph 1 shows an exponential increase in club and tutoring student registrations. The spike seen in fall 2005 correlates with implementation of the Internet version of ARISEnet where students started registering themselves. It correlates with a significant increase in the state test Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) in math, reading and writing. These improvements in student performance were gains over the state averages. more data details>>
In the spirit of "Breaking Ranks II" for education redesign and improving student performance, ARISEnet allows students to register for a variety of scheduled daily activities such as tutoring, clubs, special workshops and credit retrieval programs offered by a school. Or, students can remain in the base class to complete schoolwork.
Ultimately, ARISEnet helps students build their own small learning community, curtails liability issues that pertain to allowing students flexible choice and helps administrators capture program data for management purposes and reporting requirements.
ARISEnet is appropriate for any school site wishing to offer activities such as tutoring, clubs, or seminar type sessions and to manage it well.
